Judging Books By Their Covers – 3 November 2014

On 3 November 2014, the Books Cluster at the University of Bristol is organizing a workshop on title pages and bindings. Judging Books By Their Covers brings together researchers from across the Arts Faculty to explore continuities and differences in the development and evolution of the title page and book cover across historical periods and between different countries; over the course of the afternoon we also aim to generate conversations about methodological convergences and divergences amongst those who work on the book as material or historical object.

The workshop will be taking place in Arts Complex Lecture Room 1 from 2 – 5.30 pm, and the draft programme is now available here: Judging Books By Their Covers draft programme.docx

All are welcome; any enquiries should be directed to the cluster organizers, Rhiannon Daniels (R.J.Daniels@bristol.ac.uk) and Jenny Batt (jennifer.batt@bristol.ac.uk).
