Judging Books By Their Covers, November 2014

 PosterJudging Books By Their Covers

A workshop organized by the Books Cluster

3 November 2014

Arts Complex, Lecture Room 1, 2-5.30pm

In this workshop, contributors from a range of disciplines and departments will offer a brief presentation on a book cover or title page of their choice. This workshop is designed to explore continuities and differences in the development and evolution of the title page and book cover across historical periods and between different countries; over the course of the afternoon we also aim to generate conversations about methodological convergences and divergences amongst those who work on the book as material or historical object.

The draft programme is now available here: Judging Books By Their Covers draft programme.docx

Any enquiries about this event should be directed to the cluster organisers, Rhiannon Daniels (R.J.Daniels@bristol.ac.uk) and Jenny Batt (jennifer.batt@bristol.ac.uk)
